DOUG SPALDING LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY
Requests to have images re-framed or to have frames custom made will be treated as commissioned work, charged accordingly and paid for before work begins.
Commissioned matting and framing is twice the stated price of similar work and subject to guarantee only as to quality of workmanship.
I will do my best to accommodate requests for specific styles and frame colors and shapes, however the vagaries of wood color and grain must be accepted as normal by the client requesting the custom work.
Each frame is handcrafted from oak, red birch, hickory, birds-eye maple, figured cherry, black walnut or a combination of exotic woods. I use no metal staples, nails or other fasteners in my frames. A simple wooden spline, in a contrasting color of wood, is used to reinforce the mitered corner joints, thus adding a unique dimension to the frame. Each frame is then hand-sanded and multiple coats of varnish are applied before it is waxed and buffed to a fine luster.
Thank You
