What's happening here? |

I needed a workspace that didn't get in the way. That meant having a table with no legs. Some people might think that makes no sense. "No Sense" is my middle name. |

With the help of my friend Newman the challenge was easily met |

The side and back of the bench is screwed to a ledger strip on the wall. |

An architectural knee is used to support the outer side and front. |
|
The visual appearance is clean and neat. The space saved is amazing. |
Sometimes a lamp just begs to be created out of nothing much. Maybe a scrap of lumber you've been tripping over for years. I replaced two ugly glass lamps we've had for over 25 years. The first is made from walnut and Osage orange.

The Pennsylvania walnut base is from a tree that was harvested at Eastern Baptist College (now Eastern University) in 1966. The walnut has waited even longer than the root to become something. This one is made of a root we brought from a canyon hike in Hawaii 35 years ago.
