Apple Crisp

  In an 9" x 13" baking dish:

Spray pan with Pam

Peel and slice apples enough to fill pan

Sprinkle with lemon juice - 2 Tbls

In a separate bowl, make the crumb topping of:

1 Cup sugar; 3/4 Cup all-purpose flour; 1/2 tsp cinnamon; 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg; dash of salt. mix together and cut in 1/2 cup of butter with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly, then mix in a cup of rolled oats (optional). Add in a cup or so of whole cranberries if you happen to like cranberries (Maine cranberries, of course)

Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until apples are tender.

Serve with ice cream,  whipped cream or whipped cream cheese as a topping and a slice of aged cheddar cheese
