Our trip to Jamestown to see the 3 Sister Ships at the beginning of the 400th Anniversary of the Jamestown Colony in Virginia |
There are lots of activities planned for the summer so we came early to be assured of seeing all the ships together. Godspeed will be sailing here and there so the old Godspeed will be used in port while the new one is out showing off. We're fortunate to see them all this weekend. For more about Jamestown's 400th click here. The header on the linked page shows the 3 ships. They are featured in all the advertising for Jamestown and also appear on Virginia's State quarter. |

Godspeed sailing at Jamestown. How small she appears even on the river - imagine the sheer terror of being on the open sea for months in such a tiny vessel? |
